Where kids & teens come to be creative and collaborative, and perform onstage! With camps in Drama, Musical Theatre, Comedy, and Design, there is something for everyone!

Drama & Specialty Camps

for kids entering 1st – 5th Grade
Must have completed Kindergarten

DRAMA CAMPS

Kids take a theatrical journey through Acting, Music, Improv, and Dance as they work as an ensemble to create and rehearse an original play. Camp culminates with an onstage performance for family and friends, complete with lights, singing, and dancing. Take one or take them all – each session is as unique as its students!

SPECIALTY CAMPS

Specialty Camps stimulate young artists and build confidence as they explore a specific area of theatre in a deeper way. Each session concludes with a presentation for family and friends!

DESIGN CAMP
July 8- July 12 | ONE WEEK REGISTRATION
Final Performance: Friday, July 12
Theatre professionals teach campers how to take their ideas from page to stage. Campers will be introduced to the ABCs of the theatrical design process. On the last day of camp, family and friends are invited to view an installation of all work created during the week!

COMEDY CAMP
July 22 – July 26 | ONE WEEK REGISTRATION
Final Performance: Friday, July 26
Campers get a crash course in sketch comedy, physical humor, and improv to take their skills to the next level. Over the course of the week, kids will be guided by professionals to create their own short-form comedy sketches and routines that will be presented on the final day for family and friends!

MUSICAL THEATRE CAMP
August 5 – August 9 | SESSION ONE REGISTRATION
August 19 – August 23 | SESSON TWO REGISTRATION
Final Performance: Friday, August 23
Musical theatre professionals teach campers how to connect story to lyrics using beloved Broadway and Disney songs. Campers will learn musical numbers complete with choreography, and perform a revue for family and friends on the last day of camp!

PLEASE NOTE: Both Musical Theatre Camp weeks are identical camps, so please pick the week that works best for you. We do not recommend signing up for both weeks of Musical Theatre Camp. If you are interested in multiple weeks of singing and dancing, our Drama Camps all include both as well!

1st- 5th GRADE CAMP RATES AND INFORMATION

Camps are held Monday – Friday from 9:30am – 4:30pm
Extended Day Options from 8:00 – 9:30am and 4:30 – 6:00pm

One-Week Camp: $425
Two-Week Camps: $750

Extended Day:
$50/week for either AM or PM
$100/week for both AM and PM
OR drop in for $15 per AM or PM session

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
Easy drop-off and pick-up means not having to worry about parking! Grade levels are based on Fall 2024.
There is no camp the week of July 4th.
Every camper receives a free Arden Summer Camp T-Shirt!

PLEASE NOTE: Included in the cost of camp is a $100 non-refundable deposit. If you need to cancel enrollment, you must notify us in writing no later than June 1, 2024 in order to receive a refund. Requests should be emailed to boxofficer@ardentheatre.org. No refunds or exchanges can be made after June 1, 2024. The $100 deposit will be deducted from any cancellations. Changes to enrolled weeks are based on availability and must also be made on or before the June 1, 2024 deadline. 

ARDEN SUMMER STUDIO

for students entering Grades 6th-8th

COMEDY STUDIO

This camp provides a space to explore what it means to be funny and how to translate that humor to an audience. You will learn about a variety of areas in comedy, such as improv, sketch comedy, and physical humor. Camp ends with a final comedy showcase for family and friends.

June 24 – June 28 | ONE WEEK REGISTRATION
Final Performance: Friday, June 28

ACTING STUDIO

Learn how to employ key acting techniques while working on both classical and contemporary scripts. Explore exercises that help you become an active listener, create believable characters, and build ensemble skills. At the end of camp, friends and family will be invited to a showcase starring you!

July 8 – July 19 (Mondays-Fridays only) | TWO WEEK REGISTRATION
Final Performance: Friday, July 19

MUSICAL THEATRE STUDIO

Musical theatre professionals will teach you how to hone your singing, movement, and acting skills while learning how to harmonize, integrate choreography, and interpret a song. At the end of camp, friends and family will be invited to a musical showcase featuring pieces you have worked on over the three weeks.

July 22 – August 9 (Mondays-Fridays only) | THREE WEEK REGISTRATION

SHAKESPEARE STUDIO

Participants explore Shakespeare’s plays and characters through voice work, movement, stage combat, monologues, and scenes. Students will gain confidence in understanding, interpreting, and performing both comedy and tragedy through the work of the Bard. The class will culminate in a showcase performance for family and friends.

August 12 – August 16 | ONE WEEK REGISTRATION

Studios are held Monday – Friday from 10am – 5pm

TEEN ARDEN CONSERVATORY

for students entering Grades 9th – 12th
or those who have just graduated

MUSICAL THEATRE CONSERVATORY

Musical theatre professionals will work with participants on vocal technique, choreography, and musical performance through duets, trios, and group numbers. At the end of the week, friends and family will be invited to a musical showcase featuring pieces you have worked on throughout the week

July 15 – July 26 | TWO WEEK REGISTRATION
Final Performance: Friday, July 26

ACTING CONSERVATORY

Delve into the acting process and develop skills in character development, script analysis, and movement work. Participants will work with professional theatre artists on monologues, scenes, and improv. The week will culminate in a final acting showcase open to family and friends.

July 29 – August 2 | ONE WEEK REGISTRATION

Conservatories are held Monday – Friday from 10am – 5pm

One-Week Acting Conservatory: $425
Two-Week Musical Theatre Conservatory: $750
