Arden for Always Recovery Fund
We WILL be back with your support TODAY.
On March 12, 2020, we gathered in the F. Otto Haas Stage for the first preview of A Streetcar Named Desire. There was an electric energy running through cast, crew, and audience members alike. It was the epitome of what makes live performances so special – that sense of connection between everyone, sharing the same story in the same space.
The next day, after just one performance, we took a pause. The COVID-19 pandemic closed our doors to the public, casting a shadow of uncertainty on what lay ahead.
Despite our doors being temporarily closed, staying connected remained our top priority. We streamed archival performances of productions like My General Tubman and A Year with Frog and Toad, fully compensating all artists for their work, while Arden Teaching Artists conducted free virtual lessons for students in over 70 partner classrooms. We have launched our Spring Digital Season, producing innovative new, digital content. All of this is made possible thanks to the extreme generosity of patrons like you.
And we continue looking forward to when we can gather together again in-person, sharing the electricity of live theatre. When you return to the Arden, A Streetcar Named Desire will be expecting you – the actors, the set, the lights, and the costumes all waiting to spring back into action.
Please consider helping us light the path back to the theatre by making a tax-deductible donation today. Your support ensures that, once it is safe to do so, the Arden will be back, ready to entertain, educate, and delight.
Yes! I want to light the way forward.

Tax-free IRA Gifts
For those 70½ or older, it is once again possible to make tax-favored charitable gifts from IRA accounts. On December 18, 2015, President Obama signed the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes Act of 2015 into law, legislation that includes a permanent extension of the IRA charitable rollover. A total of up to $100,000 can be transferred directly from IRAs to one or more qualified charities such as the Arden, free from federal income tax each year. Check with your IRA administrator or your tax adviser for more information on how to make such gifts.
