Great Stories, Told Beautifully

At the Arden, we believe that great stories have power. From re-envisioned classics, to award winning musicals, to bold world premieres, we celebrate the power of stories to inspire, facilitate understanding, and bring us together. Together with our award-winning actors, designers, and artisans─ many of whom call the Arden home─ we strive to tell these stories beautifully, from music that captivates to sets and costumes that take your breath away.

But the most vital part of our story is you─ and we need your continued partnership now more than ever.

Whether you became a part of the Arden 30 seasons ago or 30 days ago, you play a critical role in helping tell stories beautifully. You have laughed with us, cried with us, and felt the magic of sitting in a room together and hearing a truly great story.

Without you, our stages are dark.  Please consider making a tax-deductible gift today and help to shine a spotlight on great art in Philadelphia!

Each year, only 60% of our costs–for things like supporting the work of Philadelphia artists, commissioning the next great new play, educating students, investing increased resources in our artists and productions, even keeping the lights on–are covered by ticket sales. For the rest, we rely on the generosity of individuals like you.

Your gift today will help the Arden to:

  • Present high quality productions to over 100,000 audience members annually, including re-envisioned classics, audacious musical theatre, world premieres, and contemporary plays that celebrate and challenge Philadelphia’s theatre artists.
  • Create imaginative and engaging pieces of theatre for children through Arden Children’s Theatre.
  • Distribute 6,000 free tickets to young people in our community through Arden for All.
  • Offer tuition-based and scholarship drama classes and camps for over 2,500 students annually ranging from pre-K through 12th grade.
  • Train future theatre leaders through the Arden Professional Apprentice Program.
  • And so much more!

Together, we shine a spotlight on the story.
