Virtual Teen Arden College + Career Fair

Do you want to pursue a career in theatre? Find out how at this FREE, virtual event for 9th-12th graders and their parents!

Saturday, March 12th from 11:30am-4pm

*Please note that this event will be held on Zoom, and participants will need access to a laptop, tablet, or smartphone to participate.

Event Details and Schedule

11:30am-12:20pm, A Life in Theatre: Forging a Career in the Arts 
Join a panel of Philadelphia’s leading theatre professionals as they discuss their unique careers in the Arts. From formal education and early jobs to key decisions and driving goals, they will share their best (and worst) career choices, giving teens food for thought as they begin their own artistic journeys.

12:30-1:20pm, Fund Your Future: Applying for Financial Aid  
Learn about your financial aid options from a Higher Education Access Partner with the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA). They will discuss key points of the application process, as well as financial aid strategies and best practices, in order to give parents and students the confidence to tackle college finances.

2-2:50pm, The College Experience: A Day in the Life 
Get the inside scoop on attending college from former Teen Arden members who are currently enrolled in programs across the region. The panel will share insight and advice about their journeys from high school to higher education, including their experiences with applications, auditions, and what their day-to-day lives as a college students look like. *We ask that students ONLY attend this panel. 

3-3:50pm, Broadway Bound: A Conversation with Philly’s own Billy Bustamante
Meet actor, director, and choreographer Billy Bustamante, as he sits down with Terry Nolen, the Arden’s Producing Artistic Director, to discuss his path from local University of the Arts to Broadway. His Broadway and Off-Broadway credits include: Miss Saigon, The King and I, and Here Lies Love. Billy is the co-founder of Broadway Barkada, owner of his own photography business, and is serving as the director and choreographer on several upcoming projects with theaters across the country.
