Arden Theatre Company Announces 2015/2016 Mainstage Season
(Philadelphia, PA) Arden Theatre Company announces the 2015/2016 Season, and continues their mission to present great stories by great storytellers. The season includes two World Premieres, one Philadelphia Premiere and several works adapted or based on classics in literature.
“Our 28th season exemplifies what we do best – ambitious musicals, dramas that grapple with the complicated notion of the American family, work by an American master playwright, and classic stories reinvented for family audiences,” says Arden’s Producing Artistic Director Terrence J. Nolen. “We are proud to present two world premiere productions by Laura Eason and Bruce Graham, the work of American master storytellers August Wilson and Mary Zimmerman, a Philadelphia premiere of Bill Cain’s Equivocation and the soaring music and lyrics of The Secret Garden by Marsha Norman and Lucy Simon.”
The Arden will announce one additional show in their Arden Children’s Theatre series at a later date.

About the Arden
Founded in 1988, Arden Theatre Company is dedicated to bringing to life great stories by great storytellers–on the stage, in the classroom, and in the community. Five productions are staged each season as part of the Mainstage series and two productions through Arden Children’s Theatre, the city’s first resident professional children’s theatre program. New work is produced through the Independence Foundation New Play Showcase. The Arden’s Education Department includes: Arden for All (AFA), a theatre access and education program for underserved young people; Arden Drama School, the after-school, Saturday, and summer camp classes for students in grades pre K-12; Teen Arden, an immersive after-school access program for Philadelphia-area based teenagers; and the Arden Professional Apprentice Program, a nationally renowned comprehensive theatre management training program.
