Director of Development:  Arden Theatre Company, an award winning professional theatre in Philadelphia, invites qualified candidates to submit applications for this senior leadership position.  The Director of Development is a member of the Executive Management team and reports directly to the Managing Director.  This position leads a talented department responsible for generating $3M+ in annual contributions, and is responsible for the design and implementation of the Fundraising Plan.  Successful experience raising major gifts from individuals and institutional sources with a reputable organization is required.The Director of Development acts as a liaison to the Board of Directors, and working with the board to more deeply connect the Arden with the Greater Philadelphia community.   Candidates with a minimum 5 years fundraising experience, compelling oral and written communication skills and proven strategic leadership, are encouraged to apply. Development Coordinator:  Arden Theatre Company is hiring a Development Coordinator to assist in all areas of the fundraising program. The main responsibilities of this position include coordination of the development department’s database, assisting with special events, departmental administrative support and assistance with all giving programs. Participation in our fast paced environment includes some weekend and evening hours for opening nights and theatre related events. Applicants should possess excellent phone and interpersonal skills, passion for the arts, a good sense of humor and the ability to work in a collaborative environment. Candidates should have experience with Microsoft Office, be self-starters and fastidious about detail. Full-time position with benefits. Internships

Arden Theatre Company internships are designed to provide insight and hands-on experience for a specific technical or administrative area of the theatre. We offer several types of internships on a rolling basis.

Internships are non-paid positions and we do not provide housing. Time commitment is decided on a case by case basis, although part-time internships average about 20 hours per week.

Props Intern

Arden Theatre Company, a leading non-profit regional theatre, is seeking a Props Interns. Schedule is negotiable. Interns can expect to work 15-20 hours per week. Responsibilities will include crafts, basic carpentry, painting, basic sewing, shopping and set dressing. Arden Theatre Company is an equal opportunity employer. Arden Theatre Company, a leading non-profit regional theatre, is seeking a Costume Interns. Schedule is negotiable. Interns can expect to work 15-20 hours per week. Responsibilities will include crafts, basic sewing, assisting with fittings, restocking costumes, pulling costume for rehearsal and show purposes, shopping and alterations. Stage Management Internships

Arden Theatre Company, a leading non-profit regional theatre, is seeking Stage Management Interns. Internships are available starting in late August through the end of June. Single production and multiple production internships are available. Interns will be assisting the stage manager in the rehearsal room and in the theatre throughout rehearsals, tech and performances of the production(s) included in the internship. Ushers

Thanks to so many of you who have supported the Arden by serving as volunteer ushers! Ushers are needed to take tickets, seat patrons, distribute show programs, and provide excellent customer service to patrons at Arden Theatre Company performances. In exchange for your service, you are able to see the show for free! This is a great way to get involved in the arts and have fun while supporting your community. Dress code is casual business attire (no jeans, t-shirts, ripped or cropped clothing). Ushers must be at least 16 years of age.
